The Nicolet Distance Education Network (NDEN) is a collaborative partnership between eleven Northeastern Wisconsin PK-12 school districts and Nicolet Area Technical College. NDEN uses a fiber-optic telecommunications infrastructure to transmit 2-way, interactive video programming to residents of its member districts. Programming can be originated and received by each NDEN site. The network is able to transmit voice, data, Internet, fax, and satellite. To further expand programming opportunities, NDEN has adopted an interconnections policy that enables the network to interconnect to other Wisconsin fiber optic networks.
VISION: To collaboratively provide equal access to educational opportunities for all communities of learners.
MISSION: To establish a telecommunications network linking all school districts with each other and with Nicolet Area Technical College for the purpose of providing equitable and equal access to education, thus enhancing economic development and quality of life in the region.
